Campania Region Film Commission Campania is a region in southern Italy on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the second most populous region in the country with around 5.8 million people. Area: 5,249.1 sq mi (13,595 sq km). Naples is the region's main city. Campania is well-known by its Amalfi coast, mount Vesuvius and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Film commission in Naples was established in September 2004 by the Campania Region government to promote Campania as a friendly territory for Italian and foreign film production. The commission services include all aspects of filmmaking. The commission guarantees cost reductions thanks to the support of local authorities and business associations. Since 2004 the regional government invested over 5 million euros ($6.05M) in grants for audiovisual productions.
