Belarusfilm Belarusfilm is the main and oldest Belarusian film production and distribution company headquartered in Minsk. Belarusfilm specializes in high-quality family-oriented entertainment production. Founded in 1928 as a Soviet Belarus studio in Leningrad, Russia, the studio was moved to Minsk, Belarus, in 1939. Film production was interrupted by the World War II and restarted in 1946 under current name. During Soviet time, Belarusfilm was one of the leading motion picture production studios in the Soviet Union. Belarusfilm produces films mostly in Russian.
