Revolver Entertainment
Revolver Entertainment is an independent British film distribution company. Established in 1997, Revolver was listed as the British 14th largest film distributor and home entertainment publisher in 2009. Revolver Entertainment was chosen by Turner Broadcasting Systems as the exclusive UK partner for all home entertainment products. Revolver Entertainment is one of the leading UK film businesses selected by the UK Film Council and government body NESTA to take part in the Take 12 Programme, which aims to develop new and exciting strategies for independent film distribution in the digital age. Revolver Entertainment established its book publishing arm, Revolver Books, and record label, 357 Records. As of 2009, Revolver Entertainment has a catalogue of over 250 movie titles. Gunslinger, Revolver Entertainment's production arm, was established in September 2009 to develop, finance and produce feature films. Gunslinger's first production, “Shank” is a gritty, revenge, action feature film aimed at the youth audience directed by Mo Ali, one of the most exciting directors to emerge from the British urban music scene, written by Paul Carter, who also produces with Nick Taussig, and starring Adam Deacon (“Kidulthood”), Ashley 'Bashy' Thomas and Kaya Scodelario.
